Inlet founder Conleth Maenpaa

“I built Lindisfarne Festival from scratch, so I understand both sides of the barrier - the thrill of being front row at a sold-out gig, and the frustration of sky-high ticket prices. I also know the pressures promoters face; balancing rising costs, artist fees, and risk while trying to create unforgettable live experiences - all while needing to maximise revenue for both the venue and the promoter.Inlet is designed to bridge that gap - helping promoters fill venues, optimise revenue, and connect with genuine fans, while getting real music lovers through the gates without the cost becoming a barrier.”– Conleth Maenpaa, Founder

Frequently Asked Questions

Inlet App Setup

For Inlet, using a web app makes a lot of sense. It means we can launch faster, keep things simple, and improve the platform continuously without members needing to download updates or wait for app store approvals.

We only need one version that runs in a browser instead of separate iOS and Android apps.

Updates are instant. With a web app, users always access the latest version with no app store approvals and no waiting for people to download updates. We can fix issues or add features immediately.

It also makes access easier. You can open Inlet straight from a link and save it to your phone so it works just like a regular app.

Most importantly, it lets us focus on building and refining the experience quickly so we can respond to feedback and continue improving Inlet without unnecessary delays.

General

Inlet members browse available events in the Inlet app, claim tickets through the platform, book via private Inlet links, and receive digital confirmation for entry to events across the North East.

As an Inlet member, you are expected to use tickets responsibly, attend events you claim tickets for, complete check-in and feedback requirements, and follow venue and platform rules.

Tickets & Entry

After reserving your spot in the Inlet app, a pop-up will show your private booking link and access code (if needed) - We recommend booking your tickets as soon as you reserve your spot.

You can return these anytime by selecting ‘How to Claim your Tickets’ under the My Events menu.

Open the booking link, enter the access code, and the Inlet member tickets will appear.

Your tickets and booking confirmation will then be sent digitally by the ticketing platform or venue (such as Universe, Ticketmaster, AXS, or the venue directly) to your email.

When you first open the app/webpage it will ask you to allow location access. Please make sure you click Yes/Allow. We do not use this access for anything except to check you in - you must be at the event location for this to work - if you have any issues you can message us - but please try refreshing your page or closing & restarting the app first - then click Yes/Allow before trying to check in again.

When you arrive at the venue:
- Open the Inlet app
- Go to My Events
- Tap Check In

You must:
- Have location access enabled
- Be physically at the venue.

If you fail to check in on site, you will be unable to claim further tickets until you complete the check-in process or contact support.

You agreed to attend events you claim tickets for - to check in and leave feedback - when joining Inlet - repeated misuse of Inlet will put your membership at risk - Our Partner venues rely on us to fulfil all tickets booked.

After the event:
- Open the Inlet app
- Go to My Events
- Tap Leave Feedback

You must complete all sections before submitting feedback, including:
- Rating the event and venue
- Entering your spend
- Entering your guest’s spend
- Leave comments about your experience

Venues value honest feedback about the performance, venue, and atmosphere.

If you don’t leave feedback, you may be blocked from claiming future tickets until it has been completed.

By joining Inlet, you agreed to:
- Attend events you claim tickets for
- Check in at events
- Leave feedback afterwards
Repeated no-shows or missing feedback may put your membership at risk, as our venue partners rely on tickets being used and reviewed.

Some Inlet events include guest access while others are limited to individual members.

You must enter your guest’s details when claiming guest tickets.

If you are inviting a child, enter their name in the name fields and your own email in the email field.
This is the only time entering your own email will be accepted.

The Inlet member is responsible for:

  • Booking all tickets, including guest tickets
  • Checking in
  • Leaving feedback
  • Guest's will not see their claimed tickets on their account - as the inviting member you will manage the ticketing for guests

You must cancel your claimed spot in the Inlet app so it can be released back to other Inlet members.

You can do this by going to 'My Events' and clicking 'Cancel' on the event you would like to cancel
